Description

American Traveler is seeking a PTA for a skilled nursing unit with possible acute care coverage, requiring BLS certification and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Work in a Skilled Nursing Unit located on the Thomas Ortho campus, with possible acute care duties in the joint connection unit
• Care setting includes LTC/SNF with a mix of skilled nursing and acute care patients
• Coverage may extend to all floors of the hospital as needed
• Uses MEDITECH for charting and documentation
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 8-hour shifts
• Weekend coverage required; no holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Work alongside a Rehab Aide and PTA team under the direction of the Physical Therapy Director and Lead
• Treat a variety of diagnoses within the skilled nursing and possible acute care setting
• Royal blue scrubs required as part of the dress code
• Department-specific orientation provided
• Candidates must live outside a 100-mile radius for certain facilities and 50 miles for other WVU facilities to be eligible for travel rates; no local candidates accepted
• Returning travelers must have taken a 2-year break before reapplying to any WVU Medicine location, and cumulative work within WVU cannot exceed one year before requiring a break
