Community Involvement

At American Traveler, we recognize the importance of actively participating in our local communities and supporting the causes that matter most to our team and our travelers. We are continually inspired by the endless dedication of our healthcare professionals who work tirelessly to improve lives across the country. To support their efforts and give back to those in need, we engage in various volunteer initiatives that promote community involvement and social responsibility. At the heart of our company culture we foster a spirit of awareness and volunteerism.

American Traveler is proud to support Boca Helping Hands, a South Florida nonprofit making a meaningful impact in our local community. Through its programs, Boca Helping Hands provides food, healthcare, and financial assistance to individuals and families in need. Each year, the organization serves over 100,000 hot meals and distributes more than 100,000 pantry bags across Palm Beach County, helping to build a stronger, more supportive community.

We’re proud to aid Feeding America in its mission to provide meals to those in need. Our donation aims to assist families, children, and seniors facing hunger across the nation. Together, let’s make a difference in alleviating food insecurity.

American Traveler proudly supports the Spirit Of Giving's holiday toy drive. The Palm Beach County-based charity enables children in need to choose from a selection of toys, generously donated from participants like us. The network provides gifts for over 4,000 local children and is growing year after year.

Like many organizations, we have moved to a virtually paperless workflow. No more three-ring binders, printed handbooks, or orientation pamphlets. Our office landscaping is maintained with reclaimed water. We use LED lighting, and are mindful of our energy consumption, use of disposable/single-use items, and our overall carbon footprint. Many of our staff are able to work in a hybrid or remote capacity, which reduces overall energy use due to commuting.

Not only are many of our travelers clinicians who served in the military, members of our corporate staff have also served in the armed forces. Veterans are among our most valued coworkers and clients. We salute you on Veterans Day and throughout the year.

American Traveler participates in the American Cancer Society's annual walk to support breast cancer research and treatment. Each year, dedicated members of the American Traveler corporate team rise early to walk in solidarity with colleagues and local supporters. Our support doesn't end there! Family, friends, and employees donated to this important cause and – along with a matching company contribution – exceeded the company’s fundraising goal.
