American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a Long Term Care position in Kerrville, TX, requiring 1 year of OTA experience in a LTC or rehab setting.

• In-house therapy team at a nursing and rehabilitation facility
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts
• 13-week assignment
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• Compact license accepted

Requirements

• COTA license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of OTA experience required
• LTC or rehab setting experience required
• 1 reference required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide rehabilitative treatment to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Administer ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising OT to adjust treatment plans
• Document all regulatory and clinical information in the electronic documentation system
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehab meetings
• Support and supervise students under OT guidance when applicable
• Maintain adherence to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics
• No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested
