American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a long-term care position requiring at least 1 year of experience in an LTC or rehab setting.

• Long-term care (LTC) facility setting within the Occupational Therapy unit
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• COTA license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of OTA experience required
• Experience in a long-term care (LTC) or rehab setting required
• 1 professional reference required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Administer treatments including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatment plans
• Document all treatment information in the electronic documentation system per regulatory and clinical requirements
• Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and rehabilitation meetings
• Assist supervising Occupational Therapist in obtaining necessary DME or supplies
• May supervise and support students under guidance of the Occupational Therapist
• Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standards
• No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested
