American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Physical Therapist with strong orthopedic and neurologic evaluation skills for a day-shift outpatient therapy role.

Details

• Outpatient pediatric therapy setting at a Therapy Annex clinic
• Day shift schedule, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Evaluates and treats patients of all ages, modifying plans of care as appropriate
• Utilizes therapy EMR for daily documentation and charging

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Physical Therapist license required if applicable, per Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Experience with orthopedic and neurologic condition evaluation and treatment
• Skilled in objective testing including range of motion and strength assessments
• Experience with therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, interferential, and iontophoresis
• Strong communication skills for coordinating care with referring providers
• Proficiency in clinical documentation within a therapy EMR system

• Serves as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students
• Designs individualized plans of care integrating goals, treatment, and discharge planning
• Educates patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers using effective teaching methods
• Performs patient transfers safely using proper body mechanics
• Applies taping techniques for stabilization, facilitation, or inhibition of movement as needed
• Monitors and provides feedback on care delivered by support personnel
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
