American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Physical Therapist for an outpatient setting, requiring graduation from an accredited PT program and a DPT degree for those licensed 2016 or later.

• Outpatient pediatric setting treating patients from birth to young adulthood
• 1:1 treatment model
• Shift schedule is 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program required
• DPT degree required for licensure from 2016 onward; bachelor's or master's degree acceptable for licensure prior to 2016
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Active MA license required at time of consideration; no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• License required if applicable
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing patient assessments, establishing plans of care, administering manual exercises, and instructing patients in therapeutic activities
• Completes accurate billing sheets daily
• Evaluates and adjusts treatment plans to maximize patient benefit
• Provides in-service education to nursing staff as needed
• Discusses evaluation, goals, and treatment plans with patients and families
• Supervises PTAs in accordance with organizational policy and state regulations
• Participates in hospital-wide quality process improvement initiatives
• Local candidates considered with a required 60-mile radius from the facility, subject to a reduced rate
