Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a NICU night shift travel assignment requiring 1+ years of neonatal or PICU critical care experience.

Details

• NICU (Neonatal) unit at a Level I trauma center with a children's hospital
• Uses Servo U and Drager VN500 ventilators, F&P Bubble CPAP, HFOV, HFJV, Vaportherm, and heliox therapy
• Epic EMR system used for documentation
• 13-week assignment on 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM 12-hour night shifts

Requirements

• Active RRT license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of Neonatal ICU or PICU Critical Care experience
• PALS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NRP (Advanced 9th Edition) certification required for staff caring for neonates
• Ability to independently admit and manage vented patients in Peds ICU using the Servo-U ventilator
• Experience setting up and managing heliox therapy through invasive and non-invasive measures
• Familiarity with non-invasive ventilation including BiPAP and CPAP
• Neonatal skills including Bubble CPAP, nitric oxide use, and high frequency ventilation
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care to critically ill neonatal and pediatric ICU patients
• Hunter Green scrub color required
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered
