American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a Long Term Care position requiring 1+ years of experience and prior LTC or rehab setting experience.

Details

• Long term care (LTC) setting focused on cognitive and ADL physical functioning disorders
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 35 guaranteed weekly hours
• 13-week assignment
• No weekend or on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active OT license required (license required if applicable)
• 1+ years of OT experience required
• LTC or Rehab setting experience required
• New grads considered if they completed a Level II fieldwork experience
• Resume required for consideration
• Skills checklist within 1 year required for consideration
• 1 reference required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develop appropriate plans of care
• Provide rehabilitative and skilled treatment interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Document all clinically required information in the electronic documentation system
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• Supervise and support occupational therapy assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students
• Adhere to NBCOT and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standards
• No more than 7 days of RTO can be requested
