American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a day shift Long Term Care position in Lowell, MA, requiring at least 1 year of LTC or rehab experience.

• Long term care (LTC) facility setting within the Occupational Therapy unit
• 13-week assignment on day shift, 8-hour shifts
• 35 guaranteed weekly hours
• No weekend or on-call requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of OTA experience required
• LTC or rehab setting experience required
• COTA license required if applicable
• One professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Perform ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, and modalities as part of the rehabilitation plan
• Assess patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Document treatment and progress in the electronic documentation system per regulatory requirements
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• May supervise and support students under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist
• Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts and code of conduct
• No more than 7 days of requested time off (RTO)
