American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant for a Long Term Care position in Worcester, MA, requiring at least 1 year of OTA experience in an LTC or SNF setting.

• Long Term Care (LTC) facility setting within the Occupational Therapy unit
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of OTA experience required
• LTC or SNF setting experience required
• Active OTA license required if applicable
• New graduates accepted if they completed Level II fieldwork experience (not just Level I observation)
• One reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Administer treatment interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising OT to adjust treatment plans
• Document all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system
• Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings
• Supervise and support students under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist
• Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
• Maximum of 5 days of requested time off (RTO)
