American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a Long Term Care (LTC) position in Missouri, requiring at least 1 year of OTA experience in an LTC or rehab setting.

Details

• Long Term Care (LTC) setting within the Occupational Therapy department
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
• Start time must be before 6AM and no later than 10AM, with consistent scheduling communicated to the Director of Rehab (DOR)
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• Compact license accepted

Requirements

• Active COTA license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum of 1 year of OTA experience required
• Experience in a Long Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting required
• 1 professional reference required at time of consideration
• Active Missouri state licensure required

Additional Information

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Administer treatment interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices
• Assess patient progress, document outcomes, and communicate with the supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatment plans
• Provide consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and other required facility meetings
• Document all treatment information in the electronic documentation system per regulatory and clinical requirements
• May supervise and support students under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist
• Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA standards and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
• No more than 7 days of requested time off (RTO) permitted during the assignment
