American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a Long Term Care setting, requiring 1 year of PTA experience and MA licensure.

Details

• Long Term Care setting within the Physical Therapy department
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 35 guaranteed weekly hours
• No weekend or on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active MA PTA license required, if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of PTA experience required
• New grads accepted if Level II clinical experience was completed (Level I observation experience does not qualify)
• LTC or SNF setting experience required
• One professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide rehabilitative and skilled treatment interventions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Administer treatment techniques including manual therapy, ambulation training, therapeutic exercises, and modalities
• Assess and document patient progress, communicating regularly with the supervising Physical Therapist
• Provide consultation to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders
• Participate in required facility meetings and trainings such as care conferences and utilization reviews
• Assist supervising Physical Therapist in obtaining necessary DME or supplies
• May supervise and support PTA students under Physical Therapist guidance
• Adhere to APTA standards and state practice regulations
• RTO requests limited to a maximum of 5 days
