American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a Long Term Care setting requiring an active PTA license and 1+ years of experience in LTC or Rehab.

Details

• Long Term Care facility within the Physical Therapy unit
• Day shift, 8 hours, Monday through Friday with flexible start times between 6AM and 10AM
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active PTA license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of PTA experience required
• LTC or Rehab setting experience required
• New grads considered if Level II clinical experience has been completed
• One reference required at time of consideration
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required

Additional Information

• Provide rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment to patients with physical functioning disorders under PT supervision
• Administer manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and assistive devices as part of treatment plans
• Assess patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Document treatment and patient records in the electronic system per regulatory requirements
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and facility trainings
• Support and supervise PTA students under PT guidance
• Adhere to APTA and state practice standards and codes of conduct
• No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested
