American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a Long Term Care position requiring an active PTA license and 1+ years of experience in LTC or Rehab settings.

Details

• Work in a Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing facility within the Physical Therapy department
• Provide rehabilitative care in a setting focused on maximizing residents' functional level and quality of life
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8 hour shifts
• Flexible start times between 6AM and 10AM as long as consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehab
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active PTA license required (if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of PTA experience required
• LTC or Rehab setting experience required
• New graduates considered if they completed a Level II clinical rotation, not just Level I observation
• Resume required for consideration
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required
• 1 reference required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide skilled rehabilitative treatment to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Administer treatment interventions including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, and use of supportive and assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising PT to adjust treatment plans as needed
• Document all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• May supervise and support students under the guidance of the supervising Physical Therapist
• Adhere to APTA and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics standards
• No more than 7 days of requested time off permitted during the assignment
