American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a long-term care facility, requiring at least 1 year of OTA experience and LTC or rehab setting experience.

Details

• Long-term care (LTC) facility setting within the Occupational Therapy department
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active COTA license required (license required if applicable)
• State licensure in Oklahoma required
• Minimum of 1 year of OTA experience required
• LTC or rehabilitation setting experience required
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide rehabilitative and skilled treatment interventions for patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Administer ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatment plans
• Document all regulatory and clinical information in the electronic documentation system
• Accurately record treatment minutes per regulatory and clinical requirements
• Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings
• Participate in facility and company required trainings and in-services
• Assist supervising Occupational Therapist in obtaining necessary DME or supplies
• May supervise and support students under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist
• Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics standards
