American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for an Inpatient/Outpatient role requiring CCC certification and pediatric SLP experience with VFSS expertise.

Details

• Physical & Occupational Rehabilitation unit within a hospital setting
• Responsible for both inpatient and outpatient services
• Inpatient duties include bedside swallow studies, diet recommendations, and monitoring
• Outpatient duties include VFSS and speech therapy evaluation/intervention for the adult population
• Day shift schedule, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7am to 5:30pm with Thursdays off
• 36 hours per week guaranteed, with potential for up to 40 hours weekly
• Rotating on-call weekends required for inpatient coverage, typically once per month
• McKesson EMR used for documentation

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
• 2+ years of pediatric SLP experience required
• VFSS experience required
• Must be willing to work in both inpatient and outpatient units
• Current Michigan SLP license required if applicable
• Active BLS certification (AHA) required
• Skills checklist for Speech Language Pathology current within 1 year required for consideration
• At least 1 supervisory-signed reference from within the past two years required for consideration
• New graduates will not be considered
• Candidate must have their own vehicle for this assignment

Additional Information

• Provide speech, language, and dysphagia evaluations and treatment under general supervision
• Design and revise individualized plans of care and treatment goals
• Deliver written and verbal reports to physicians
• Complete documentation according to unit standards and regulatory requirements
• Participate in in-service education programs, patient care committees, and case conferences
• Attend staff meetings and personnel orientation as required
• Must be able to work independently and hit the ground running
• Business casual attire or matching scrubs required
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be considered at a reduced pay rate
