American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a Long Term Care assignment in Moore, OK, requiring an active PTA license and prior LTC/SNF experience.

Details

• Long Term Care facility setting within the Physical Therapy unit
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
• Start time flexible between 6AM and 10AM, consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehab
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active PTA license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of PTA experience required
• LTC or SNF setting experience required
• New grads considered if they completed Level II clinical experience (Level I observation not sufficient)
• One reference required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide rehabilitative and skilled treatment interventions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Administer manual techniques, ambulation training, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising PT to adjust treatment plans
• Document all treatment information in the electronic documentation system per regulatory requirements
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• Assist supervising PT in obtaining necessary DME or supplies
• May supervise and support PTA students under PT guidance
• Adhere to APTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standards
• Maximum of 5 days RTO may be requested
