American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a Long Term Care position requiring at least 1 year of LTC or rehab experience.

• Long term care (LTC) facility setting within the Occupational Therapy department
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 35 guaranteed weekly hours
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• Compact license accepted

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of OTA experience required
• LTC or rehabilitation setting experience required
• Active COTA license required (license required if applicable)
• Active MO state licensure required
• 1 reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Administer treatments including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising OT to adjust treatment plans as needed
• Document all regulatory and clinical information in the electronic documentation system
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and other required facility meetings
• Support and supervise students under the guidance of the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
• No more than 7 days of requested time off (RTO)
