Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a day shift hospital position requiring at least 1 year of experience and recent Epic EMR experience.

Details

• Respiratory therapy department providing care to adult critical care and pediatric patients
• Performs basic respiratory treatments including aerosolized medication administration via oral inhalation, EZPAP, IPPB, and MDI
• Provides chest physiotherapy (CPT), incentive spirometry, oxygen therapy, CPAP/BiPAP therapy, and arteriocentesis
• Manages ventilators including BiPAP, CPAP, and flow-by, with troubleshooting high pressure alarms and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Performs airway management including intubation assist, extubation, nasal/oral airway placement, and suctioning
• Collects sputum specimens and manages tracheostomy care
• Utilizes high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) oxygen therapy
• Interprets arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating expected unless otherwise stated

Requirements

• Current RRT certification
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Active TN or compact state license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Prior travel experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience within the last 18 months required and must be clearly documented on profile
• Must pass Epic competency exam upon assignment start; only one attempt allowed
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Two supervisory references required for consideration
• Must be clean-shaven if fit testing is required for respiratory protection
