American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with Trauma Level 1 experience for a night shift adult critical care position requiring an active RRT license in SC.

Details

• Adult and geriatric patient population in a Trauma Level 1 critical care setting
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend rotation every other weekend, subject to change
• Floating to other qualified units or campuses as needed based on census
• Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Uses EPIC EMR

Requirements

• Active RRT license in South Carolina required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Trauma Level 1 experience required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficient in adult critical care skills including extubation, airway placement, suctioning, pulmonary hygiene, sputum collection, and tracheostomy care
• Experienced administering a range of respiratory medications including bronchodilators, steroids, and antibiotics via aerosol, MDI, and nebulizer delivery systems
• Experienced with high flow nasal cannula, trach collar oxygen therapy, BiPAP, and CPAP
• Skilled in troubleshooting ventilator alarms and weaning patients from mechanical ventilation

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients
• Work within a Trauma Level 1 hospital environment as part of the critical care team
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates accepted subject to radius rule criteria
• RTO, block, and special scheduling requests must be submitted with application and are subject to facility approval at time of booking
