Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital, requiring an active OT license and BLS certification with 1+ year of IPR experience preferred.

Details

• Inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting with 50 beds
• Geriatric patient population with diagnoses including stroke, debility, brain injury, amputation, cardiac, spinal cord injury, and orthopedic conditions
• Caseload of 5-6 patients per day, mostly 1:1 treatment with some group therapy
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Weekend hours on request
• No call requirements
• No floating requirements
• Utilizes UDS Prodoc and Pinpoints EHR systems
• Uses DME and standard therapy equipment

Requirements

• Current Occupational Therapist license required (if applicable)
• BLS certification required
• MOT (Master's degree in Occupational Therapy) required
• 1+ year of IPR experience preferred
• Basic computer knowledge required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English required

Additional Information

• Provide individualized rehabilitation care to patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury
• Work within a comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation program
• Must be cooperative and demonstrate strong teamwork skills
• Any color scrubs accepted
• Permanent residence must be more than 60 miles from the facility
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
