American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Oklahoma City, requiring at least 1 year of experience treating adult and geriatric neuro patients.

Details

• Inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting on a 36-bed unit
• Occupational Therapy department serving adult and geriatric patients with neuro-CVA, amputation, and orthopedic diagnoses
• Patient ratio of 6 patients to 1 therapist
• Utilizes standard rehab equipment along with Ekso NR and REAL VR technology
• Charts using UDS ProDoc EHR
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Weekend hours available upon request
• No floating required
• No call requirements

Requirements

• Active COTA license required if applicable
• AHA certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year experience required
• Experience working with adult patients required
• Experience in orthopedic and neuro rehabilitation preferred but not required
• Social security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active license verification required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide occupational therapy treatment to patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries
• Work within a specialized low-stimulation, secured rehabilitation unit with monitored rooms and dedicated therapy gym
• Black scrubs required
• Report to facility at 8 AM on first day
• Facility requires flu vaccination or an approved medical/religious exemption submitted through the facility's exemption process
• Masking required during flu season (November through March) for those with an approved exemption
• Candidates cannot reside within 60 miles of the facility
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
