American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift acute care hospital position requiring critical care, ED, and pediatric experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital with 255 staffed beds
• RT department provides inpatient therapeutic and diagnostic services, including COPD and Asthma Awareness education programs
• Work settings include Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, NICU, and Pediatrics
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:00 on a 3 and 4 day every-other-week rotation
• No call requirement
• Meditech charting system used

Requirements

• CRT required, RRT preferred
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP preferred
• 3-5 years of hospital experience preferred
• Critical Care, ED, and Pediatric experience required
• Prior travel experience preferred
• Skilled in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, airway management, and neonatal/pediatric respiratory care
• Experience with medication delivery systems and various nebulizer types
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Provide a full range of inpatient therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory services
• Deliver patient education for chronic respiratory conditions such as COPD and asthma
• Care for patients with ARDS, pneumonia, cystic fibrosis, and other complex respiratory conditions
• Support high-risk deliveries and neonatal/pediatric respiratory care
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• First-time travelers not preferred; travel experience is favored
• Candidates who worked permanently for the facility within the past 24 months will not be considered
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
• RTO policy requires working one holiday if one falls within the assignment, one if two fall within it, and two if three fall within it
• Zero-tolerance drug policy including no acceptance of medical marijuana cards
• Drug screening required both during compliance and again on day one
• Fit testing required, and candidates must be clean-shaven unless an approved medical exemption is provided prior to starting
• Flexible start dates available for allied health professionals, as this role does not require standard RN orientation
