American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week day shift contract requiring 2+ years of experience and floating across multiple units and facilities.

Details

• Respiratory Care department within a 255-licensed-bed facility with Chest Pain and Stroke Center designations
• No trauma designation and not a teaching hospital
• Average daily census of 225 patients
• Adult patient population with potential pediatric treatment in the ED (no L&D)
• Floating required to all units within scope of practice, including ED, ICU, Progressive, and Med/Surg Tele
• Floating required across Region 1 facilities including Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Freestanding EDs, and Central Division (CMC Main, Mercy, LCH)
• Uses EPIC EMR
• Department equipment includes Servo, Nitric Oxide, Volara, Airvo 2, and Synclare
• 12-hour day shifts, 0700-1900, 36 hours per week
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• 6-week schedule cycle

Requirements

• RRT required (CRT not accepted)
• NC licensure required
• BLS required, ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Minimum 12 months of core work experience in the unit specialty area, with most recent experience within the last year
• Skills required in ICU, ED, and Progressive units
• Active license required if applicable
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

• Holiday coverage expectation of 75%
• Up to 6 days of RTO may be approved, excluding holidays; unmet contracted hours must be added to the end of the contract

• Radius rule requires candidates live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
