American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of experience and RRT certification.

Details

• Level III Trauma Center with 60 beds
• Respiratory Therapy Services covering the entire hospital rather than a single unit
• Patient population ranges from neonate to geriatric with respiratory issues, including response to C-sections and newborn assistance
• No dedicated NICU on site
• 12-hour night shift, 1800-0630, 36 hours per week
• Floating required throughout the hospital
• Weekend rotation every third weekend
• No on-call requirements
• EPIC EMR used
• Pyxis used for medication dispensing
• Unit-specific equipment includes V60 and V30 BiPAP, Servo-U vents, and Hamilton and ParaPac transport vents

Requirements

• RRT certification required; CRT not accepted
• License required if applicable
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers considered only if candidate has 5+ years of experience
• Minimum 12 months of core work experience in the specialty area, with most recent experience within the last year
• Skilled in assisting with intubations, ventilator management, nebulizer treatments, BiPAP, CPAP, and ABG collection
• Comfortable responding to codes and rapid responses
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Candidate's middle name or initial, date of birth, and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Work alongside 2 RTs per shift with support from a 24/7 House Supervisor, Manager/Supervisor, 24/7 Hospitalist, and Rapid Response/Code Team
• Orientation includes NEO and one shift to learn unit flow
• Holiday rotation required, covering 50% of holidays per contract
• RTO approval available for up to 5 days
• Scrubs must be any solid, professional color
