Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring 2+ years of specialty experience and 1+ year of acute hospital experience.

Details

• Acute care setting within a Level 2 trauma center
• Unit covers Rehab services including PT, OT, and Speech
• Patient population includes cardiac, stroke (facility is stroke-certified), orthopedic, ICU, neuro, and med-surg cases
• Low-volume pediatric and NICU cases exist but travelers are not required to treat these populations
• Uses Cerner EMR
• 10-hour day shifts, 4 shifts per week, 7:00am-5:30pm
• Works every 3rd weekend, with potential for every other weekend
• No floating required
• Staff coverage provided 7 days a week with a team leader available when manager is off-site

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience required
• BLS certification required
• COVID vaccination required
• CA state license required (license required if applicable)
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Works into permanent staff rotation for holiday coverage across all modalities
• 8 hours of floor-specific orientation covering all modalities
• Dress code requires polo or button-down long sleeve shirt (burgundy) with dark solid pants; no scrubs allowed
• Open to first-time travelers
