Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit position requiring NRP certification and 2+ years of related RRT experience.

Details

• Work in a Level 2/3 NICU and Special Care Nursery at a birthing hospital
• Can consider candidates with peds experience, but NICU experience is required
• Delivery room experience preferred
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 36 hours per week
• Rotating or all-night position with every third weekend and every third week rotation
• No floating required

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required
• RRT certification required
• Minimum 2 years of related RRT work experience required
• CPR-AHA and NRP certifications required
• Must be certified to manage artificial airways, mechanical ventilation, administer aerosolized medications, and provide oxygen therapy
• MA license required if applicable
• Flu vaccine documentation required during flu season

Additional Information

• Performs and interprets tests and procedures to assess and manage patient care in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members
• Works autonomously in a variety of clinical settings including administration of respiratory care protocols
• Weekly orientation held every Monday, barring holidays
• COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions allowed
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• Previous Beth Israel Lahey Health employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break before returning
