American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a Resource Team role at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring RRT or CRT certification and 2+ years of respiratory therapy experience.

Details

• Provides respiratory care for patients throughout the facility, including ED, ICU, PCU, and general medical floors
• Level I Trauma, Chest Pain Center, and Stroke Center teaching hospital with 874 licensed beds
• Uses IPPV/NIPPV ventilators
• EPIC EMR system
• 12-hour night shift, 1900-0700, working Friday through Sunday
• 36 scheduled hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation
• No on-call requirements
• Required to float within Region 1 facilities, including Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, any Freestanding ED within the region, and Central Division (CMC Main, Mercy, and LCH), within scope of practice

Requirements

• RRT or CRT certification required
• NC licensure required if applicable
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience, preferably in a Resource Team role
• IPPV/NIPPV ventilator experience required
• Minimum 12 months of core work experience in the specialty area, with recent experience within the last year
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

• Orientation includes New Employee Orientation (NEO) and 2 days of departmental orientation
• Travelers will work approximately 75% of holidays
• Up to 6 days of RTO may be approved, excluding holidays; unmet contracted hours must be added to the end of the contract
• Royal blue scrubs required

• Traveler's permanent address must be more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Previously employed staff must have been separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
