American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a Home Health assignment requiring 1+ year of skilled home health experience and BLS certification.

• Home health setting delivering 1:1 patient care with visits to up to 6 patients per day
• Day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• No floating between like units required
• Uses EPIC Remote Client for Home Health documentation and Rover mobile app/Oasis for charting
• Facility groups clients to minimize drive time, with occasional daily travel radius up to 60 miles

Requirements

• Current BCLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of skilled home health experience required
• Experience with EPIC charting system required
• Must have own reliable transportation for home visits
• License required if applicable
• First-time travelers accepted
• Pending license accepted

Additional Information

• Provide physical therapy services to patients in their homes across East Portland and surrounding areas
• Patient population includes orthopedic conditions such as hip fractures, spinal conditions, and post-op joint replacements, as well as neurologic conditions including stroke, Parkinson's disease, and traumatic brain injury
• Uses equipment such as gait belts, walkers, crutches, and upper/lower extremity prosthetics
• Business casual attire required; scrubs allowed but not mandatory and no jeans permitted
• Free parking available and mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate
• Facility may cancel up to one shift per pay period
• Locals accepted at the same rate within a 50-75 mile radius
• Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
