American Traveler is looking for a Physical Therapist for an Adult Rehab Services unit at a Level 1 Trauma facility, requiring acute and trauma experience.

Details

• Acute care setting within Adult Rehab Services at a Level 1 Trauma facility
• Day shift schedule, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, 5 days per week
• ICU experience preferred

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree in Physical Therapy required
• Minimum of one year of experience required
• Acute and trauma experience required
• Current BLS certification from AHA required upon hire
• Oklahoma PT license preferred
• License required if applicable
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and PT treatment principles required
• Excellent communication skills required for patient education and treatment planning

Additional Information

• Evaluate patients, interpret physician orders, and formulate individualized treatment plans to meet short and long-term goals
• Modify treatment plans based on patient response and progress
• Participate in discharge planning, including developing and instructing patients on home exercise programs
• Document treatment results and patient responses in the medical record
• May supervise and assist PT students during clinical rotations depending on experience level
• Maintain and clean department equipment
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Local candidates are not eligible for this position
• Compliance documentation must be completed promptly, as start dates cannot be pushed once booked
• Returning travelers may extend up to a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
