Description

American Traveler is looking for a Physical Therapist for an Adult Rehab Services unit, requiring a Baccalaureate degree in Physical Therapy and current Oklahoma PT license (if applicable).

• Adult Rehab Services unit
• Day shift schedule, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• 5 days per week schedule
• No travel required within the role

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• Baccalaureate degree in Physical Therapy required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required upon hire
• License required if applicable
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology sufficient to evaluate and treat patients
• Knowledge of physical therapy principles, methods, practices, techniques, equipment, and procedures
• Ability to adjust equipment to suit patient needs
• Strong communication skills to guide patients through treatment and development
• Basic computer knowledge required

Additional Information

• Interpret physician orders, evaluate patients, and formulate treatment plans to reach long and short term goals
• Modify treatment plans based on patient response and progress
• Participate in discharge planning, including writing and instructing patients on home programs
• Document treatment results and patient responses in medical records
• May supervise and assist students during clinical rotations depending on experience level
• Maintain and clean department equipment
• Candidates must live outside a 50 mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
• Compliance documentation must be completed promptly, as start dates cannot be pushed once a candidate is booked
• Returning workers may extend a contract one time for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6 month separation is required before reapplying
