American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist - Pediatrics with 1+ year experience for a hospital-based outpatient clinic serving pediatric and adult patients.

Details

• Primarily pediatric hospital outpatient setting with some adult inpatient coverage as needed
• Outpatient clinic is connected to the hospital via a tunnel, located across the street
• Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts from 7:30am to 6:00pm
• Treats both adult and pediatric patients with a wide variety of diagnoses
• Epic charting system experience preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• License required if applicable
• Experience with pediatric diagnoses including Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and Spina Bifida preferred
• Experience with adult diagnoses including CVA Rehabilitation, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Spinal Cord Injury preferred
• Skilled in ADLs, feeding techniques, sensory integration, and neurodevelopmental treatment
• Proficiency in evaluation, assessment, discharge planning, and plan of care documentation

Additional Information

• Deliver occupational therapy services across both pediatric outpatient and adult inpatient settings
• Perform assessments, evaluations, reassessments, and discharge planning
• Utilize modalities such as electrical stimulation, TENS, ultrasound, and kinesiotaping as needed
• Provide patient and family education on safety and injury prevention
• Holiday coverage required as needed by the facility
• Local candidates within 25 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no time off allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• All time off requests must be disclosed and approved at the time of submission
• Required lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract
• Minnesota state fingerprinting is required in person on the Monday prior to the scheduled start date, applicable to all candidates regardless of residency
