American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a 13-week acute care hospital travel assignment, requiring CCC-SLP certification and at least 1 year of experience.

• Short-term acute care hospital setting, Level IV trauma and teaching facility
• SLP Acute Care unit with a daily patient load of 12–14 patients
• Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts, 8:00am to 6:00pm
• Charting completed in Cerner
• Business casual attire required
• Free parking available on-site
• Candidates must be comfortable floating without restrictions, which may include other units, nearby affiliate hospitals, or other facilities based on skills and census needs
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel

Requirements

• Current CCC-SLP certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
• Arizona SLP license required if applicable
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Teaching hospital setting experience preferred
• Must be comfortable floating without restrictions

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must be available to work 2 of the facility's recognized holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day Weekend, Independence Day Weekend, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day
• No time off (RTO) is permitted during the first week of the assignment due to orientation; additional RTO requires Unit Manager approval
• Previous employees of this facility (permanent, PRN, or extended placement) must have been separated for at least 12 months before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Candidates who previously canceled a contract with this facility within 10 days of the scheduled start date are ineligible
• Two professional references are required prior to start: one from the most recent employer within 1 year of the start date, and one completed within 2 years of the start date
• Orientation modules are completed during the first week and average approximately 6 hours total
