American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week outpatient contract in the Winthrop neighborhood of Boston, MA, requiring an active MA PTA license and at least 1 year of PTA experience.

Details

• Outpatient physical therapy setting located in the Winthrop neighborhood of Boston, MA
• Schedule includes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, and Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 AM–7:00 PM
• 40 hours per week on an 8-hour shift structure
• Average caseload of 12–14 patients per day with 30-minute treatment sessions (1:1 patient ratio)
• Departmental productivity goal of 70%

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts PTA license required (license required if applicable)
• Current CPR/BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of PTA experience required; outpatient setting highly preferred
• Minimum 18 months of specialty experience required
• 2+ years of outpatient experience preferred
• Valid driver's license (must not be expired) required for consideration
• 2 professional references required, at least one of which must be from a manager-level or above (not a supervisor), including a performance evaluation; one reference must be within the last 12 months and the other within the last 3 years

• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
• Scrubs or business casual attire required
• One reference from a most recent temporary or travel assignment is preferred; references cannot be provided by another traveler
• A completed skills checklist from within the last year is required for consideration
