American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with recent Epic experience for a day shift acute care contract at a specialty hospital in Bakersfield, CA.

Details

• 47-bed specialty hospital setting focused on cardiac and specialty services in Bakersfield, CA
• Primary assignment to the Physical Therapy unit, with floating required to other Adventist Health network sites as needed based on staffing and census
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts per week, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Epic EMR used; recent Epic experience within the last 12 months is required

Requirements

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree required for those who obtained licensure on or after January 2016, or foreign equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapy experience preferred
• Active, unrestricted PT license in the state of practice required; license required if applicable
• BLS certification from an approved vendor (American Heart Association) required
• Recent Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months required
• Must have worked in the submitted specialty within the last 3 months
• Two supervisor references required: one from the past year and one from the past two years
• Specialty-specific skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration
• Date of birth and Social Security Number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include completing patient evaluations, developing individualized treatment and discharge plans, providing therapy interventions, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation
• Supervises assigned therapy assistants as part of daily duties
• Serves as co-leader in an interdisciplinary approach to patient care
• Candidates with a prior hit on their license will not be considered
• RTO is capped at 5 days; requests exceeding 5 days will result in automatic declination
• All employment gaps of one month or longer must be documented and explained in work history
