American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week travel assignment at a skilled nursing facility in Salinas, California, serving a diverse rehabilitation population on California's Central Coast.

Details

• Skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting in Salinas, CA
• Interdisciplinary rehabilitation team including OTs, PTs, SLPs, nursing staff, and physicians
• Diverse patient population including orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and medically complex cases
• Sunday–Thursday shift schedule
• Documents treatments using Net Health electronic medical records

Requirements

• Active California COTA license required if applicable
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current CPR/BLS certification required
• SNF experience preferred; motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Experience with Net Health EMR preferred

Additional Information

• Provide skilled OT treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Implement individualized treatment plans targeting ADL performance, functional mobility, upper extremity function, cognition, and safety awareness
• Educate patients, caregivers, and facility staff on adaptive equipment, home safety, and functional strategies
• Participate in care conferences, team meetings, and discharge planning collaboration
• Maintain compliance with Medicare, state, and facility documentation standards
