Description

American Traveler is seeking a PTA for a 13-week acute care Rehab Services assignment, with BLS certification and pediatric experience highly preferred.

Details

• Acute care setting within a Physical Therapy (PT) department
• Primarily outpatient care, with some inpatient weekend rotation or coverage when outpatient volume is low
• Common diagnoses include CVA, orthopedic conditions (hip, knee, ankle, shoulder, back, neck), and vestibular disorders
• Patient load varies daily based on census and scheduled hours
• Charting and documentation performed in Cerner
• Day shift, with scheduling in either 4x10-hour or 5x8-hour shifts; patients are scheduled by a secretary based on therapist recommendations
• Weekend rotation every 6 weeks; holiday coverage required as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a PTA
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Strong orthopedic skills required; pediatric experience is highly preferred
• Generalist skills aligned with basic PT education required
• License required if applicable

• Black scrubs or a black collared shirt with khaki pants required
