American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a post-acute care setting with potential float coverage to an adjacent inpatient acute care hospital.

Details

• Primary work setting is a skilled nursing facility, with training to float to an adjacent inpatient acute care hospital
• Inpatient only; no outpatient caseload
• 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday starting at 0800, plus 2 weekend days per month
• Caseload of approximately 7–9 patients per day
• Common diagnoses include CVA, TKA, THA, and COPD
• Coverage areas include stations A, B, C, and D
• Cerner EMR used in this position
• No Rehab Aides, OTA, or PTA support on unit
• Holiday coverage may be required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CA Occupational Therapist license required (license required if applicable); pending licenses will not be accepted
• Minimum 2 years of OT experience required
• Current BLS certification required; pending certifications will not be accepted
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Burgundy scrubs required
• Floor-specific orientation is provided (12 orientation hours)
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
