Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) for a 13-week NICU night shift assignment requiring an Arkansas RRT state license and at least 1 year of acute care experience.

Details

• Work setting includes NICU, ICU, COVID units, ER, general floor, and nursery in an acute care hospital
• Level 2 nursery with attendance at high-risk deliveries including C-sections
• Specialized procedures include vent management, O2 therapy, airway management, respiratory treatments, suctioning, ABGs, EKGs, and high-risk delivery stabilization
• Nursery equipment includes RAM cannula, Vapotherm, and heated nasal cannulas
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend work is required
• RTs rotate across multiple units including NICU, ICU, ER, floor, and nursery

Requirements

• CRT or RRT credential required
• Arkansas RRT state license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care setting
• ER and ICU experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Proficiency in vent management, airway management, O2 therapy, ABGs, EKGs, and suctioning required
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred
• NRP certification and nursery experience preferred
• Bedside PFTs and bronchoscopy experience preferred
• May be required to stabilize infants and place them on a ventilator in the nursery setting
• Ceil blue and/or black scrubs required
