American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week day shift travel contract in Austin, TX, requiring a minimum of 1 year of recent experience and active ACLS and BLS certifications.

• Respiratory Care department at a hospital in Austin, TX
• Adult respiratory therapy patient population
• Common procedures include nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy, and ventilator management
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts
• Rotating weekend coverage
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RRT credential required; license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in respiratory therapy (within the last 6 months)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

Additional Information

• Perform nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy, and ventilator management as core daily responsibilities
• Scrub color requirement: olive green tops and black bottoms
• ICU, NICU, or PICU experience is preferred
