American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant with a compact or ME license and at least 1 year of experience for a Physical Therapy assignment in Bangor, Maine.

Details

• Physical Therapy unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Day shift hours, either 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• 40 hours per week, variable schedule
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active compact or Maine (ME) PTA license required; license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Physical Therapy
• BLS certification required
• Two professional references within the past year required; at least one must be from a supervisor, manager, director, or charge nurse — peer references are not accepted
• Copies of all certifications required for consideration
• Full SSN required for consideration
• Valid driver's license required
• Flu vaccination required for clearance to start

Additional Information

• Manager interviews are required for this position
• Candidates must have a permanent address 100+ miles south/southwest of Bangor, ME to be eligible
• Candidates who have previously worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity are not eligible
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
• Work history should include hospital name, location, number of beds, trauma level, teaching hospital experience, and EMR/charting system information where applicable
• Medical exemptions for the flu vaccine are accepted on a case-by-case basis and require a minimum of 2 weeks for committee review; failure to submit in time may result in a delayed start
