American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist for an acute care hospital in Wichita, KS, requiring a minimum of 6 months of acute care hospital OT experience and an active KS license.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting located in Wichita, KS
• Occupational Therapy unit with a daily census of approximately 250 active consults per day
• Patient caseload of typically 8–10 patients assigned per OTR per day
• 2:1 OTR to COTA staffing ratio with a total headcount of 30 staff
• General acute care DME equipment used
• EMR: Meditech
• Day shift position: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active KS OT license required if applicable
• Minimum 6 months of acute care hospital OT experience, with experience within the last 6 months required
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Perform OT evaluations and treatments across a wide variety of diagnosis groups in a complex acute care environment
• Trauma and comprehensive stroke experience preferred
