American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Outpatient Surgery/Surgical Specialty Clinic position specializing in oncology, vascular, interventional radiology, and genetics, with a Monday–Friday day schedule and no weekends or on-call required.

Details

• Multi-specialty outpatient facility with 25+ specialties and approximately 50 beds
• Surgical Specialty Clinic unit focusing on oncology, vascular, interventional radiology, and genetics
• Responsibilities include pre/post-op appointments and minor in-office bedside procedures
• Schedule: 5x8s, days, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Floating within scope to similar units may be required to meet facility needs
• Charting performed in Epic
• Free, on-site parking available

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or Compact RN license must be in hand prior to start; candidates with a pending SC license may still be considered
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Minimum 1 year of ambulatory nursing experience required
• Social Security card and driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Scrub color required: Royal Blue
• Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; approval is based on facility need
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized, though local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
