American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with ASHA certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience for an acute care pediatric hospital position in South Carolina.

Details

• Position is based in an inpatient acute care or outpatient clinic setting at a children's hospital
• Charting is performed in Epic
• Schedule is typically 4x10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm; shorter 5-day schedules may also be considered
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Floating within scope may be required depending on candidate experience and facility need
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Current ASHA certification required
• Active South Carolina SLP license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered, though licensure must be active prior to start
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position

Additional Information

• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; the facility prioritizes non-local candidates
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• A radiation badge is required and must be provided by the agency prior to starting — the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers
• Orientation takes place on-site at the work location; required modules are completed prior to the start date
• Scrub color is light gray
• Parking is complimentary and offsite, with shuttle services provided to the facility
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak hurricane activity occurs in August and September
• AHA certifications are required where applicable
