American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Epic EMR experience and Level 1 Trauma background for an acute care hospital assignment in Urbana, IL.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting
• Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day
• Weekend shifts on a PRN basis
• Holiday shifts on a PRN basis
• Treats patients across all age groups
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
• Current BLS certification
• Active Illinois SLP license (issued by IDFPR); license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of relevant SLP experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Collects case history information and integrates input from patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals
• Selects and administers evaluation procedures tailored to individual patient needs, including standardized assessments and instrumental evaluations
• Develops and implements individualized care plans with measurable goals addressing functional and emotional needs
• Modifies treatment approaches in response to patient behavior and performance
• Completes documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
• Collaborates with the medical team to communicate patient status, changes, and recommendations for next level of care
• Provides patient and family education and training throughout the rehabilitation process
• Serves as a clinical resource for staff and students
• Candidates who have been on assignment at this health system for 1 year or more must take a 6-month break in service before returning to any location within the system
• RTO may not exceed 7 total days for the duration of the 13-week contract
• Interviews are conducted by facility leadership
