American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Home Health position in Oakland, CA, requiring at least 1 year of home health experience and a valid state PT license in hand at time of consideration.

Details

• Home health setting serving geriatric patients with a focus on wound care and general home health needs
• Minimum of 23–24 patient visits per week
• Patient population includes geriatric home health and wound care cases
• Day shift schedule, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
• No weekend or on-call requirements, though on-call may be available on a discretionary basis
• Territory coverage will be discussed during the interview; may include surrounding counties
• Charting completed on facility-provided tablet using Kinnser/WellSky EMR; all charting must be done on-site and cannot be taken home
• Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate from first to last patient visit (does not include travel to or from home)

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of home health experience required; minimum 2 years of overall clinical experience as a PT
• Valid state PT license required at time of consideration — no pending licenses accepted; license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• No hits on license record
• COVID vaccination required; religious declinations accepted
• Must be a self-starter with strong time management and independent work skills
• Ability to complete timely charting using Kinnser/WellSky EMR

• Local candidates are accepted; candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
• Contract length is 4–6 months; less experienced clinicians are required to commit to a 6-month contract, which is non-negotiable
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of initial consideration; no additional RTO requests will be accepted after an offer is made
• Compliance documentation must be completed before seeing patients, which may take 2–3 weeks
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; closed-toe shoes required
• Flu vaccination declination is accepted with a signed declination form
