American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP certification and 3+ years of experience for an acute care hospital SLP position requiring independent Modified Barium Swallow Study performance.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with 212 staffed beds
• Hybrid inpatient and outpatient caseload, typically 1–3 adult outpatient cases per day with the remainder in acute hospital
• Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00am to 4:30pm (5x8-hour shifts)
• No call or weekend coverage required
• Documents Epic EMR; Epic experience required
• Free on-site parking available
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility should inquire about local rates

Requirements

• Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Active, unrestricted state SLP license (license required if applicable); pending licenses are not accepted
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an SLP; must be able to practice independently
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Ability to independently perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS)
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; requests made after submission or offer may be denied
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
