American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for an outpatient physical therapy position requiring an active SC PTA license and BLS certification.

Details

• Outpatient physical therapy clinic setting
• Patient population includes a wide variety of conditions related to musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiovascular, and developmental impairments
• Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, and Friday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active South Carolina PTA license required; license required if applicable
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• No minimum years of experience required

Additional Information

• Implements physical therapy treatment plans focused on alleviating pain, restoring function, preventing disability, and promoting overall health and fitness
• Provides therapeutic interventions and documents progress with measurable and functional goals
• Maintains patient records including progress notes, treatment notes, charges, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory and departmental guidelines
• Communicates regularly with the supervising PT, physicians, and the broader interdisciplinary team regarding patient progress, treatment provided, and order clarification
• Contributes to department performance through professional development activities including competency training, in-service coordination, mentorship, and performance improvement initiatives
• Responsible for independently maintaining continuing education units (CEUs) required for SC licensure
