American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week home health assignment serving the greater Sacramento County area in a post-acute care setting.

Details

• Home health setting serving patients throughout the greater Sacramento County area
• Post-acute care with a patient caseload of 5–6 patients per day
• Patient population includes a variety of diagnoses such as cardiopulmonary, orthopedic, neurological, and geriatric conditions
• Cerner EMR used for documentation and charting
• 8-hour day shifts

Requirements

• Active PTA state or compact (NLC) license required; pending licenses will not be accepted — license required if applicable
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required; pending certifications will not be accepted
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a PTA required
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration: one supervisor reference from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• Treat patients across a variety of diagnoses including cardiopulmonary, orthopedic, neurological, and geriatric conditions in a home health environment
• Mileage is reimbursable per GSA guidelines; accrued mileage begins after departure from the first patient assignment — travel between housing and the first visit does not qualify
• New graduates are considered only in extreme cases; a minimum of 2 years of experience is strongly preferred
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
