Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with pediatric experience for an acute care Rehab Services position requiring BLS certification and Cerner EMR experience.

Details

• Acute care setting within a PT Rehab Services department
• Primarily outpatient care, with some inpatient coverage on weekends if outpatient volume is low
• Common diagnoses include CVA, orthopedic conditions (hip, knee, ankle, shoulder, back, neck), and vestibular disorders
• Patient load varies daily based on census and scheduled hours
• Charting performed in Cerner EMR
• Day shift, with scheduling options of 4x10-hour or 5x8-hour shifts, or a combination of the two
• Weekend rotation approximately every 6 weeks; holidays covered as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Pediatric PT experience highly preferred
• Strong orthopedic skills required
• Current BLS certification required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Generalist PT skills aligned with standard PT education required

Additional Information

• Patients are scheduled by a department secretary based on therapist recommendations
• Department-specific orientation provided
• Dress code: black scrubs or a black collared shirt with khaki pants
• License required if applicable
